Independent mobility in an upright position can be achieved through the use of the fci Walker. This heavy duty pommel walker, constructed of powder-coated square tubular steel, is available in three sizes: mini, junior, and senior.

Proven Therapeutic Value

The FCI Walker is a hands-free device that encourages upright mobility and promotes independence. The user’s upright position with a slight forward lean, encourages and stimulates forward stepping.

Dual-Use Design: Anterior and Posterior

The FCI Walker can be used in two distinct ways:

Anterior: users can face forward and use the attached tray for meal times or playtime activities.

Posterior: Alternatively, caregivers may turn the walker backward to allow the child greater access to involved play; they can kick a ball or explore their environment.

Versatility

The frame height, pommel height, chest pad height, and tray heights are each individually adjustable. The walker can also be adjusted to change the angle of body orientation for better support and to promote forward movement by creating a forward lean. This position is often beneficial in stimulating forward stepping. The posterior support component removes to facilitate transferring the child in or out of the walker.

Each fci walker is available with a variety of add-on features to enhance the child’s therapeutic impact and recreational value.

• 5” Castors (3” standard)
• Wheel locks (brakes)
• Variety of directionals available
• High back, custom made to the dimensions supplied.
  High backs are typically three-sided and extend to the shoulders or to the top of the user’s head.
