"This bike has given Ryan the opportunity to be more independent and have fun. Bike riding with his brother, Jonathan has become one of his favorite activities. It is great to watch them laugh together as they speed through the neighborhood over bumps."

"The thrill of seeing a physically disabled child sit safely on a bicycle is priceless. To watch legs that really don't have the ability to pedal actually rotate around on the Freedom Concepts bike is extraordinary. William is able use the bike in the neighborhood when the weather allows and as seen in the picture, uses his new bike at his physical therapy sessions at school during the difficult weather. With a slight slope, he manages all on his own and the steering bar in the back makes it so easy to add a little help without him even realizing it. For his leg muscles to be used in this new way even when someone helps push behind, is all such good therapy. The bell is great too!!! Thanks for making this little six year old's face light up as he feels like one of the crowd."
- Heidi JohnsonThank you Freedom Concepts for giving William the joy all children should know, the freedom and excitement of a bicycle ride.
- Tripp Johnson, William's father -
"This is the first time my child has been able to get around the neighborhood and be with his peers. I believe the look and feel of the bike impacts him on a social level as well as a physical one."

"We just wanted to write you and tell you how much the boys loved their bikes. The whole neighbourhood was very impressed with them and the fact the boys were having so much fun. Dillon who has always been very apprehensive of riding a bike was at first backing away, but when his little brother got on his and took off Dillon got on his and had the time of his life. Dan and I expect to shed a few pounds trying to catch up with them. Seeing them have so much fun brought tears to our eyes. I just wanted to thank you for giving us the chance to see our children enjoy being like that of a normal four and six year old child. We took pictures of which we will be sure to send if they turn out... Again thanks."

"Thank you!!
You have given our son so much happiness, fun, pride, mobility, plus the biggest smiles ever.
Conor is an 8 years old boy. He is multi-handicap, 24 hour care, wheelchair bound; he can not stand or sit up on his own and has difficult head control.
When Conor was 4 our community had a fundraiser so that we could buy a wheelchair accessible van. The amount of help was over whelming. The town of Upton held a Conor Dugas Day. The day started with a pancake breakfast at the church followed by a 5k walk/run, then a big Texas BBQ with live bands and raffles. The amount of people was amazing, so many caring hearts showed there support for our family. The benefit for Conor raised enough money a van and a Discovery bike.
The Discovery bike has been the best therapist equipment we have ever used. It took conor about 3 to 4 weeks to get used to riding, but once his legs got sense of the motion, he rode great. Conor rides with us pushing and at times pedaling on his own. He rides for at least 1 hour everyday, when the weather is bad he rides in the house through rooms and around furniture what ever it takes. Since Conor's been using the bike, his therapist and orthopedic doctors have noticed huge changes in his muscle tone and flexibility. We noticed shortly after getting the bike Conor was kicking his legs, trying to take steps, his muscles in his legs were getting stronger and bulking up, he didn't look so frail. If you think about it, riding a bike makes so much sense it helps with muscle tone, bone density, circulation, respitory, digestion and it helps make the muscle rhythm brain connection. Exercise keeps you healthy. With a disabled child we need all the good health we can get.
Conor loves to ride his bike he smiles from ear to ear. When someone we know drives up, you can tell by Conor's expression he is thinking: (Look at me! Look how cool I' am! ). Even though he can't talk you can see it in his face. Were a very active family and get out everyday sometimes twice a day. We push Conor on his bike in 5K benefits walks/runs and we ride on the trails in the state forest. This allows Conor to be a part of the activity with his family and friends, not just sitting in a chair. Buying a Freedom Concepts bike was the best decision we have made for Conor's health and happiness.

"I want you to know that Tyler is thrilled with his BIG BLUE --- My wife and I are amazed as to how quickly he adapted himself to using the bike. He spends an average 3 hours a day actually on the bike moving. He has noted that he feels he is losing weight already. In fact he has dedicated his weight loss in memory of Owen Hart!!!
This is truly a blessing for him, he is proud of his bike and it allows him to participate with his friends on a more equal basis.
Cec and I want to thank you and Freedom Concepts for the flexibility you have shown in the funding, allowing us to acquire the bike in a relatively short time.
Once again we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your assistance."
